I am hoping that I can learn lots on the job and become a better machinist. He only had so many hours and has to follow a strict guideline made up by some person from the education ministry. My program is actually quite good but my teacher admits that he is limited in what he can do because of the education minister. Thanks for the suggestions! I will take a look into fusion360. Should I seek training on those subjects from an employer in industry, or search for better training programs, if the local courses offered by the centre de formation professionelle and the Quebec government do not offer highly concentrated education/training on these subjects? He told us that our program(900 hours) does not include these things and that the longer(1800 hour) course would afford us more education on those subjects, but would still only touch on them with brevity.
#LEARNING MASTERCAM SOFTWARE#
My classmates and I have asked out teacher about learning Mastercam, Solid works and other industry standard software packages. The title of my program is, "CNC Operator/Production Equipment Operator." I do not want to remain an operator throughout my career because I love my chosen career and more importantly I would like to work on Naval ships or Airforce Aircraft, which means I have more ambition then just changing tools and making sure the machine is not going to crash. My training program is focused on training us to operate production equipment.
